the just conculed new york fashion week brought together the best of the global fashion designers as they showcased their latest collection not all where good but some realy made headlines in fashion blogs and media .Here is our top five favourite collectio
#1 christian siriano
To bring relaxed Mexico to his typically formal collection, Siriano incorporated basket-inspired raffia into several looks. A chiffon circle dress was decorated with rose-and-cream French knot raffia; a jacket and miniskirt combo was made of straw in a rainbow of colors. Although formalwear remains the crux of Siriano's brand, these daytime looks proved that he is capable of making all-occasion clothes
#2 oscar de la renta
oscar de la renta brought a variety of style in his spring summer 2014 collecting ranging from classic day clothes in navy and white, with little adjustments here and there to bring proportions up-to-date , knit wear to silk part dress. just to sum it up there was at least something for all the ladies
#3 carolina herrera
The Carolina Herrera woman has always been a classy, cosmopolitan character.her Spring '14, however, was decidedly evening-centric . While there were about a dozen fluid gowns sent down the catwalk, the designer offered only a handful of trousers and focused more on ladylike cocktail frocks and swooshing floor-length dresses than daytime separates. She translated the movement's graphic lines into geo-prints, which appeared in chocolate, citrus, and plum on skirts and gowns as well as on their organza overlays.
#4 calvin klein
The collection started off with white, but the exposed seam allowance on the opening look's strapless wrap top and skirt flashed pink. Color was the first difference; in addition to that pink, there was the red, mint, and brilliant emerald green of handwoven cotton tweed. A black nylon material he used for a tank top and a full, short skirt was loomed with bright threads. Yarnlike threads also appeared as a deep fringe on a woven black leather jacket.
#5 micheal kors
"A softer attitude…the juxtaposition of sportif and romantic…sharply tailored meets soft and fluid," were some of his notes. The clothes had echoes of the forties and the seventies , but this is one case where looking back didn't produce retro results.
